Do Not Use "flex Fuel" In Golf Carts
DO NOT put the "flex" fuel in your golf carts! We get at least one per week where someone has put this in their tank...

Re: Do Not Use "flex Fuel" In Golf Carts
The carbs aren't set up for the ethonal blends.
It takes more ethonal/air mix than it does gas/air mix. So the e10-e85 stuff will make your carb run lean and burn stuff up. Plus it will eat the gaskets in the carb. My dad has killed a mower and A troy built mini tiller leaving this stuff in the tank for a couple months without burning it off. i.e. turning off the fuel and letting the mower/tiller run till it is out of fuel. |

We don't have any choice in Chicagoland, all the unleaded here has 10% ethanol.

Re: Do Not Use "flex Fuel" In Golf Carts
10% is ok, but using E85 which is 85% ethanol is not good for it. it wil lmake the cart run lean and you can burn up the pistons.
I have a 01 s10 that is flexfuel and it runs better on E85, but it is designed to run on it since it has a flexfuel sensor. but i loose about 100 miles per tank. |
