convert a tiller type steering to regular steering column

what all would i have to do to convert my tiller type steering to a regular steering wheel and where could i obtain the required parts to do the change over ? i have a 1972 hd gas golf cart with tiller type steering thanks for any info

Not sure what all is needed, but the best way would be to find a donor with a steering wheel that can be used as a donor, they are pretty cheap if not in running condition. Mine has the steering wheel, and I am trying to figure out what I need to make the score card holder turn with the wheels like it does on the tiller steer. Buggies Unlimited, Golf cart care, Vintage golf cart parts, LV sales and a couple other dot coms have a decent selection of parts.

A Cushman Truckster setup might work for you. It has a gearbox that attaches the steering wheel to the center steering shaft. It does move it to the left around 8" to 10" . The only issue with it is it you spin the steering wheel the front wheel goes around with it.....not good when moving. Mine is up in storage, I'll see if I can get up there to take some pictures.

Sounds like what you are going to need is a steering box and all the little goodies that go with it. Any donor cart with steering assembly will do.Are you in SoCal by chance..I've got one you can have!

I will be parting out a 4 wheeled harley cart starting spring (when it stays 60 degrees plus)Get me a list, everythings going on ebay when i strip it.
