Clutch ID and help with adjustment?

Can anybody ID this clutch and tell me how to disassemble it for adjustment?
Its on a Cushman 4 wheel tuckster and I believe the manufacturer is Comet but there are no markings. Info came from a former Cushman employee I met at a race track and I have unfortunately lost touch with. It says on the cover "hit with plastic hammer" but to no avail... It just doesn't seem to want to give. I have replaced the original motor with a 20 hp Vanguard and the idle speed of the new motor is engaging the clutch. I hoping to shave some weight off the weights or increase spring tension to help. I just can't get the little bugger apart! :(
