Default Dual Batteries.

Can you run 2 batteries on a gas ez-go. Can you wire-em like on a diesel (positive to positive / ground to ground)

Adding an extra battery hook it positive to positive and negative to negative with 2 extra cables (parallel circuit). If you do one positive to a negative to the other battery you double the voltage to 24 volts with wires (series circuit). That's based on 12 volt batteries. no different than 6 volt batteries. I've done it for an inverter on a shop cart for a golf course to run an inverter for a 120 welder for doing things in the field.

Is that invertor powerful enough to run a welder?

Yes it is, the main thing is to match the right amperage for the welder. It uses 110 volts for the welder @ 20 AMPS. Use deep cycle batteries for longer welding time. Most inverters will give specs on how long you can run at certain amps off of batteries.
