Default 4 Wheel Cushman

Any help in identifying the model of the Cushman in the attached picture would be greatly appreciated.

I purchased it last summer from the previous owner who added the roll bar and headlights. It has a 10hp Kohler 241 in it but I believe it originally had an 8hp Kohler. I don't need info on the engine though, just on the body style.

Thanks in advance!

Not to resurrect a dead topic, but I have that same model. The tag on the inside of the glove box reads: 881410. But I've been unable to find any other information on it, aside from some wiring diagrams that mention the model number. Mine also has the original 10hp kohler engine, and from the looks of it, its original.

Here's a few pictures of mine for reference (note: it's currently being rebuilt as the previous owner thought it wasn't ugly and beat up enough)

Sorry for the (remove) bits, the forum wont let newbies post links.

The new post "Poly Gas Tank Replacement" by andrew has a link to a photo of his cart and it looks very much like your's. Maybe you two should exchange information.

CharleyL - everything I've been able to find out, I replied with. I contacted the current Cushman company and got a snide reply back from their customer service rep. They're apparently unwilling to track down any information on the model. The only other reference to that model I can find on the internet is from a manual covering models of cushman tractors/carts.

jensales(dot)com/Cushman-Golf-Cart-OperatorTractor-Service-Manual-CU-SO-678145G_p_70249.html < these forum rules are really annoying for people trying to contribute meaningful content.

I've been trying to find a free download. I doubt there's much in the manual that'd be beneficial at this point, and I can't find a preview anywhere.

A guy at my campground has one of these and he has found very little info on it as well.

Unfortunately it looks a bit different now. One night it broke down so he deceided to tow it back tom his site with another cart by himself.

In the process of doing so, the strap fell off, the cart and ran down a hill and hit a trailer at 2am. The people inside thought the world was ending. The damage was extensive and took out half of the front cowl. Oops!

Unforgiven, that's not an actual site. If you mean vintagegolfcartparts(dot)com, already been there and talked to someone to try and identify it. They were baffled. Seems to be a limited production model.

R8cer, thanks for sharing. Good to know there are more than two of these out there.

that was a shoot off the hip

may have a rare bird there,.. I've found alot of parts will enter-change.
If you have problems or need help just post a question here, a world of knowledge on BGW

Every Cushman guru has told me that the serial number is stamped above the front drivers side wheel. That will let you know what year it is.

I will try to post a pic of it. It's quite unique to say the least.

I checked the frame that's exposed at the moment with a flashlight, but couldn't see any numbers. Once I get the dang steering wheel off, I'll be able to get at more of the frame. I'm not sure I'll be able to see any numbers until I get the frame sandblasted though, it's pretty well coated in rust.

Can't wait for that. Sandblasted and powder coated. It should be sweet.
