carter model N carb issues
My carter model N carb is dumping fuel into the oil! I have the main jet out about 4 1/4 turns...only way I can get to run good. It's on a 18 hp omc twin in cushman truckster...gravity fed.Got good compression so rings are good...right?Crank case vents/breaths into carb...is there any way this is sucking fuel in?Or is the carb just shot and beyond repair?

Re: carter model N carb issues
is it dumping the fuel into the intake with the engine shut off...possibly?
if compression is good...and engine runs fine....then while it is running, it can't be diluting the oil. No fuel lines are connected to the factory mechanical pump? They are known for failure and gas leakage into the crankcase |
