Default Potential Problems with 2 stroke engines ?

Hello everyone !
I'm new to the site and golf carts, And this looks like a Great place to learn.

I just heard about 2 carts that are For sale in my area, Both are early to mid 80's model years, One is a Club car and the other is an Columbia.

I was told that both carts have fuel issues and don't run very well, And I was hoping that some of you might give me an idea of what to expect before I go to look at them.

I understand that the 2 strokes may need to have the carb and or fuel pump rebuilt or replaced ?

What can you guys tell me ?

Thanks !!!!

The Kid, Thanks !

I figured that to be the case, But was also hoping that maybe some of you had the older 2 stroke carts and could give me some info of what yours took to get them running well.

Thanks again.

Smile Re: Potential Problems with 2 stroke engines ?

Well I went and looked at the golf carts this weekend and besides looking very weathered they appear to be in decent shape.
The owner says that they ran but not very well, do to some sort of fuel issues.

Have any of you guys had experience with 2 stroke fuel problems ?

Thanks !!!
