Default Is it possible?

Is it possible to connect the starter generator that was on my old motor to this recoil start engine? Also, how many hp is 212cc? Will this engine be enough to push a Melex gas cart with 2 people on it?

It is a 6.5 hp, and no it is not good for a golf cart, the gas motor in a cart is 9hp 0r 11hp now, 6.5 is a waste of time, -- just my 2 cent

As posted in your other thread, but not in detail, it is possible and has been done.
Starter generator brackets made to mount cart S/G to the motor and then the throttle adjusted so the motor won't idle and the carts ground wire installed to the engine grounding wire.
There is usually a lug you can plug into in the area of the throttle hook up for the kill wire on most engines.

Don't mean to sound like a dick, but all your posts confuse me.

The engine you want to use is a little small for most carts have 8 HP or larger and I am not sure how your Melex is made. Ie 2 cycle, 4 cycle, what year etc. If you have a reversible transmission you might be better off trying an electric start 2 cylinder Briggs or similar.
