Cushman Truckster Problem Fuel gas in oil airfilter has oil

Hello! I have a 1985 Cushman 3 weeler truckster. It has ran great past few years and lately it started smoking and there is fuel in the oil, and there is oil in the air filter. Has electric fuel pump so I dont think its the fuel pump. COULD it be the rings? THANK YOU!!!!

possibly worn rings....but you most likely have a carb issue of it dumping gas in engine when parked. Float level too high, float heavy and sunk and possibly too high of fuel pressure causing overloading of needle and seat thus dumping too much fuel into the engine.
get oil changed..diluted oil is not good

oil in air filter due to the oil being too thin (from the gas dilution)

Thanks! I will try changing oil and cleaning the carb and see if that will help it.

Does your cushman have a return off the fuel filter? because it should have one some people put after market pumps on or fuel filters and dont buy the one it requires with the return line to stop it over loading the carb. If it does it probably needs replacing and check the lines are clear and not restricted too.

Thank you! I did change the oil and it seems to be alot better now. It does sputter, but maybe i just need to clean the carburetor. Will clean it next week.

Same problem here. Maybe too much fuel pressure from electric fuel pump?

Matt you need a T in the fuel line at the carb..so the electric pump won't overpower the needle and seat. The "T" feeds the carb and a return line to tank
