Cushman cannot locate any number
My inlaws just got a Cushman, its golfcart plus it has a dump bed. After reviewing everything I could off google we have still been unable to locate any numbers anywhere off this cushman where a vin, model# or serial number would be located. There are trying to locate brake parts for this. Can anyone help to point me in the right direction, please.

Re: Cushman cannot locate any number
Does it look like this?
Mine is a Cushman UTV-Max Model 898669. The model number is on a "plate" (really just a sticker) located on sheetmetal that forms the seat box under the key switch and choke. I have yet to look but I have read that the S/N may be stamped into the frame abve the left front tire. Scott |

should be a number stamped in the metal of the frame above the drivers side wheel.

Re: Cushman cannot locate any number
Whether you find the number or not, take the parts that you need to a forklift repair shop near you. I have been having great success getting brake parts for my 1987 Cushman 898532 this way, and so far the cost of the parts has been about 1/2 of the prices that the internet suppliers are charging. It's good to have the number if you can find it, but many parts suppiiers do not have listings for Cushman. They may have the right part on the shelf, but they can't find a listing for it, however they can match what you have if you bring the old one to them. Buying from the forklift supplier got me great prices and off-the-shelf availability. For instance $20 per pair for brake shoes vs $49 on the internet and $31 for a master cylinder vs $74.95 on the internet. Several forklift models use the same brake system as the 70's - 90's Cushman trucks. A visit to a helpful auto parts store got me a replacement flexible brake line for the forward suspension of my Cushman. It was listed for a Dodge D200 truck, but it was the right length and had the right end fittings for the Cushman.
