Default 1984 cushman truckster meter maid, OIL CAPACITY???

the title just about says it all i just got an old cushman truckster meter maid cart. Cannot find what the oil capacity is for the motor or what oil to use. If someone could also tell me the oil capacity for transmission and differential that would be great thanks.

Welcome to Buggies Gone Wild. Please take the time to update your profile. Go to the second blue bar near the top of this screen and on the left you will see "User CP). Click on it and it will take you to your profile. Most importantly, tell us where you live - city and state will do. One of us might live in the same town or nearby that could provide better help than we can through words.

We like pictures, so please show us your meter maid truckster.

Your Truckster should have the 22 hp OMC engine if it's the original engine. It holds 2 qts of oil. If the filter is replaced you will need 2 1/2 qts of oil. SAE 30 wt SE or SF oil should be used at temps above 32 deg F and SAE 10 wt SE or SF oil at temps below 32 deg F. The filter should be a FRAM PH-43 and the air cleaner filter is likely a WIX 42087 or equivalent. The transmission uses SAE 80 wt above 32 deg F and SAE 20 wt below 32 deg F. The differential uses EP 80-90 multigrade lubricant. If you have a hydraulic system it uses type A or F transmission fluid. Grease fittings in the truckster use lithium base grease. These are standard automotive grade lubricants that should be easy to find anywhere.

I tried to send you a Private Message but it failed. Maybe filling in your profile will fix this. I have some additional information for you regarding you truckster.

Charley
