With the open breather on many of these small engines there just isn't a strong enough vacuum pulsation from the crankcase to run a fuel pump very well. An electric add-on type fuel pump can handle the fuel needs and their pressure is self regulating. I added on to my 1987 Cushman Truckster and it works very well. My old mechanical fuel pump had failed and it was too expensive to try to fix it. I made a plate and gasket to plug the hole where the original mechanical pump had mounted. The electrical fuel pump can mount almost anywhere there is room for it. All you need is to connect one wire to the ignition switch so it receives power whenever the switch is on, and connect the other wire to the frame. The fuel line from the gas tank connects to the input end of the pump and the output end of the pump connects to the carburetor. There's no need for a bypass filter, etc.

that sounds easy, the research i did told me that electric fuel pumps will flood engine cuz you only need 2lbs or less,is there a certain fuel pump, i dont think the 12V automotive pump i have will work, has anybody tried using valve cover pressure and just venting crankase?

The one that I used came from Oreilly Auto Parts. The invoice just says MRG 12S
The price was $77.95 on 4/20/13

Possibly restricting the crankcase vent could improve the operation of your vacuum fuel pump, but I would hesitate to restrict it very much or you could create other problems, especially with a heavily worn motor.
