Dave,

Welcome to BGW.

There are already a few posts on this site about Cushman Sprinters that you should search for, but I don't remember any posters saying that they have what you are looking for. Unfortunately, you will have to increase your post count to (I thing) 5 before you can send any of thm a PM (personal message) or post pictures of your cart. Exchange a few posts with me and you will increase your count quickly.

You could try the Jacobsen website www.jacobsen.com/americas-manuals/SearchForm?locale=en_us&action_findmanuals=Submit& Product=292[/url] although I don't see your golf cart listed. I believe that they owned Cushman back in 1996. Maybe a phone call to them would get you a manual that isn't shown on their website.

You might also try looking at the manuals for the 1990's Cushman Trucksters with the Suzuki engines. Although not the same chassis, you might find the information that you are looking for. Many of their 3 and 4 wheel vehicles of that age had similar motors, wiring, etc,

There are also some manuals available for free download from www.sillylittlecars.com. They are also for the Trucksters, but I remember one with a Suzuki engine..

Thumbs up Re: Manuel

Thanks for the reply.. I will try use some of the info you sent. if you don't have one of the currently popular brand named golf carts it's hard to find parts.

That's very true. Cushman changed owners several times through the 90's and became part of EZ-GO in 2003, which resulted in the closing of the Lincoln, Nebraska plant where all things Cushman had been produced. The Cushman name goes on, but the products are more the EZ-GO designs beneath the covers.

The Suzuki water cooled motors were used throughout most of the 1990's in the Trucksters, Haulsters, Vansters, Turf Trucksters, Golfsters, and the Meter Maid Trucksters. I think parts may be more available for those motors than the OMC motors that preceded them. My 2 Trucksters both have the OMC 22 hp engines. They're way under powered and could use about double the horsepower to perform well. My son and I have been thinking about re-powering one of them with a Honda Gold Wing engine, but it's just in the talking and dreaming stage. The early 1000 cc will fit quite easily, but there are some other bugs to work on yet. For now, I'm using a recently re-built OMC 22 hp with the thermostatic air doors defeated. They were nothing but trouble last year, so we removed the thermostatic bellows assemblies and bolted the damper doors in the full open positions. It never gets cold enough in North Carolina to need them anyway. So far this year I have not experienced any engine over temp conditions at all and we-ve put about 250 miles on it since February.
