CheTech TF-200 Rear end
Trying to help a retired friend with one of these. Hydraulic mini dump cart with the Kohler 18hp. Pumpkin is cracked. Does anyone know where to find a rear end that will bolt on?
Thanks in advance. |

What is the brand and model number of this "hydraulic mini dump cart"? Your question is too vague.

Re: CheTech TF-200 Rear end
Doing a Google search for CheTech brought up a sales brochure with pictures, so I now know what it is. I have never even heard of CheTech before. They seem to have been a very small manufacturer and have been out of business for quite some time, so finding replacement parts, other than automotive parts, is going to be very difficult. If you can determine the dimensions of the axle and the gear ratio of the differential you can probably find another brand of axle with the same specifications, or close. Then replace the broken axle with this one.
You might also be able to have the crack repaired by a welder, but it would require complete dis-assembly and cleaning before a welder would even consider welding it. Aluminum welding is much more involved than steel welding and requires very clean metal for the weld to be successful. This is very difficult to achieve with a porous aluminum casting. I think your best choice is to find a suitable replacement. Charley |
