The Mongrel on the ground
I set her on the ground last night after tacking the rear section into place, (note the angle holding things straight for now). It's almost time to take it to get my welds inspected, laughed at then corrected . Its cool.
I'll be honest with all of you, sometimes I get that feeling if I was to do it again I'd buy one a little closer to what I could live with .......... Then I see her sitting on the ground and I go to thinking of other stuff to do with it ....... I'm looking into getting another driven clutch (fits Club Car for anyone that has an extra one sitting around) Mine disintegrated upon removal. If not, the Comet 94D is next .......... I added a foot to the very rear of it I couldn't stand the tires being that close to the bumper support thats the part with the nasty-assed welds Yeah, its a Hyundai |

This is the first time away from the house under-power ........ She ran pretty good, but handled kind of squirrely.

Re: The Mongrel on the ground
Haven't posted in awhile. The last month hasn't been kind, at all. Turned Fifty on 11/28 ........ tore a rotator cuff with tendon and ligament damage, and lost my eldest brother suddenly on December 6th, he was 53.
I'd trade double the first two events, any day ......... to not have the last one take place. Perhaps the forum (BGW) and working on the Mongrel can be therapeutic. Not much to share other than I set these fenders in place shortly before all this happened. I think it looks pretty good, eh? And then picked up this lift kit (for a song and a dance) which threw everything back up onto the planning table again. Everybody.......... Don't wait. Call your Mom & Dad tell them you love them. This Christmas, hold your siblings close. Kiss the people you love and tell them how much you appreciate them being a part of your life. When they go, even the insignificant crap that used to cause friction between you, would gladly be accepted. |

Re: The Mongrel on the ground
Boris,
I’m very sorry to hear about your brother. My younger brother ( 48 ) appears to be terminal with a unique form of cancer. The up side, we still have him here and have some time with him yet. I sincerely feel for you in the sudden departure of your brother. Take care of yourself! And the fenders look good. |
