For any of you still using points 6 cylinder chevy points bolt right in and are much more durable.

Not all do. It depends on the wire attachment method. Some with a screw the screw sticks out the wrong way and won't clear. Others have a useless press in thing for the wire that seems to fall out. Apparently in the inline chevs it does not matter so you can't just go by the application. Most replacement points seem to be crap on a good day these days. The only ones that so far have not let me down is Standard Ignition brand #DR2240. Some stores have em and places like Summit Racing have em. As you noted they fit the Delco 4 and 6 cylinder inline engines. An easy one to look up would be say a 1970 Chev C10 pickup with the 250 6.

We used a set of accels that mr chevy across the street gave us and they have lasted a very long time.But they were probably made before all of this off shore manufacturing was in vogue.The neighbor did say they were for a six cylinder chevy truck he no longer had.
