Default Hd carb leaking

Hey guys I have a 71 hd 3 wheel, I recently put a new carb on it, well it leaked from bottom of it, actually from the butterfly shaft seal on the bottom. So I had them send me another carb and it is also doing the same thing.
Anyone ever had this issue? Don't know what I should do?
Thanks

Is this the original Tilitson style carb or one of the later Walbro like ones that has a bowl and float?

Do you have some sort of external fuel pump on it?

Its easier to to help you with a bit more info on your carburetor, is it an after market tillitson look alike, a Walbro, maybe even post a picture or two of your set up. On these Tillitsons they are known to leak around the fuel inlet if they are not seated properly. it could even be leaking from the hose if that not sealed too. is this the style carb your have on your application? Doesn't have an external pump, it is a tiltson style carb, just like the pic, it isn't a true one though, aftermarket. To me it looks like it's leaking from 14 in the picture with diagram

There really should not be that much gas in that area unless the carb is a total piece of crap (which is possible).

What other things can you tell us about the history of this cart? How long have you known it or had it? When did it last run well? What has changed since then? What is your skill / experience level on this sort of machine? What happened to the original carb?

I have to agree with 73eldo , many of those aftermarket carburetors are junk, I personally would not install one on my cart. Many of those coming in from China are very low grade quality, they are meant to be disposable garbage, Do you still have the original Tillitson? If so, you might want to consider rebuilding it, it is a relatively simple job. Be sure to get your hands on a good quality rebuilt kit. I think you will be more satisfied with that results, then that aftermarket carb. Good Luck
