1970 HD Timing
There are two timing marks on the outside of the flywheel that are visible through the hole in the fan housing. The service manual states; "Each mark is 25 degrees before piston top center, one for FORWARD and the other for REVERSE". Can anyone confirm which mark is forward and which mark is reverse? So, as facing the flywheel, would the left mark be forward and the right mark reverse or vice versa? See pictures. Thanks

Re: 1970 HD Timing
I did a 69 engine a few years back....I do Remer a aces hole in the case to the flywheel 9f I recall, there were 2 faint dots on them. When they were in the line, I marked the clutch for future refrence with a marker. Saved book time with timing.

Re: 1970 HD Timing
I believe that motor turns counter clockwise in the forward direction. That would make the left dot the forward timing mark.
