1963 Harley Cart - rough start
I have a 64 Harley cart that developed a issue last some. When you hit the pedal to start, it will fire right off, but the first couple seconds it chugs until it gets rev'd up and then drives just fine after that. I have gone through the carb and it is clean. I have checked the timing and the points gap - they are perfect as well. I am stumped.

Re: 1963 Harley Cart - rough start
If this was a 70's cart I would be thinking a bad or missing check valve on the fuel tank pickup. On this the fuel pickup is at the bottom of the tank?

sounds normal to me. All my carts spudder for 2 or 3 seconds when first started for the day
