Default dead 1970 hd golf cart

I need help. I have a 1970 gas HD 3 wheel golf cart. The battery went dead cause I left the key on and now that I have the battery charged it won't start. It ran last night and then this morning nothing. There is power going to solenoid and all through the golf cart. I push the pedal down and nothing happens. Anyone have any ideas on what I need to do to get it running.

Check the momentary limit switch for the accelerator pedal too!

Power goes to the solenoid but when the foot peddle is pushed does power come out of the solenoid?

Yes power is coming out of solenoid when pedal is down.
There is power all way to starter. When push pedal down every connection lights up

Have the starter checked by a local automotive repair shop or check it your self following the instructions in the manual. But You are probably missing a ground connection. Check motor to frame ground!

Engine to frame ground is just for the coil. Starter/gen grounds through the forward / reverse switch and which terminal is grounded depends on the position of the switch.
