Filling clutch
OK. The question is. How do you check the fluid level in the clutch? Kinda like a rear differential, take out the plug and the fluid should be near the opening? If so should the rubber plug be on the top or bottom when you check it?

Re: Filling clutch
Yep. Rotate the clutch where the filler plug is at the 6 oclock position and check it like a differential.

Re: Filling clutch
I believe I read somewhere on the Harley up to the 1981 year model, 5 or 7 o'clock position would be closer to the 12 oz. level.

Re: Filling clutch
I cannot find it anyplace in the manuals or online. In looking at it from 6 o'clock down does not look like it would hold 12 oz. to me.. Wish their were a drain plug, I would just start from scratch..

Re: Filling clutch
Got a steep hill? How about a set of ramps for loading things into a pickup? That would likely be enough angle to get most of it out.

Re: Filling clutch
I remember seeing 7 o'clock somewhere, I just cant remember where it was. That is what I have been doing and no issues.
