Default Herky, Jerky

Ok here's one issue I haven't had before, my cart is running fine sense replacing the transmission side crankshaft, as well as all new seals, and gaskets all around, checking the piston and cylinder , with a little clean up, all good there. Well after several days of running the cart gets this herky jerky movement as the cart slows down, and at low acceleration speeds. What is causing this?? I cant get it to duplicate it while on jacks. Thinking its in the transmission primary drive, or the secondary drive.

I would think if it was clutch related you would really be able to see it by looking at the belt while its on the stands. I would expect the belt to be jumping and see the clutch flanges make sudden moves.

Do you have a timing light? If so hook it up on the jack stands and see if you are getting consistent flashes (spark).

I agree with 73eldo it is probably the secondary clutch or at least clutch related. The reason you do not see any problem on the stand is there is no load on the transmission. The primary clutch is easier to check so pull the belt and check the clutch movement by hand or pull it down. No problems then try the secondary. The rollers may be worn out and/or missing.

I'm thinking, the same as both you guys, I haven't had time to get into the cart this week, and Ill be gone for the week of Sept 5th. So I'll check both clutches in a couple weeks. Thanks for the insight, I'll post my findings then.
