Re: fuel pump diaphram
I would just buy an import carburetor off eBay. They run about $20 delivered and bolt right on. Ain`t worth rebuilding for that deal!

Yep. What he said.
That starter takes all of 2 mins to take off. No sense in working around it. Your carb gaskets are going to need replaced too. Order those or get some gasket material from a parts store so you can cut them yourself. |

Re: fuel pump diaphram
When I have had to work on the carbs I have had to unbolt and flip the starter out of the way.
If the fuel pump section is bad chances are good the rest is bad too so I would do a full kit. I don't know that I would try and do one while still mounted in a cart. There are a few aspects that can be a little tricky on the bench that I think would be worse in the cart. The cheap import carbs can be hit and miss quality wise so don't use one to troubleshoot a problem. |
