Question 1970 to 1980 Harley 3 wheel cart - parts swaps?

Hello all,
So I started doing a 1970 Harley gas 3 wheel Golf Cart restoration as my previous thread stated and I got the motor running strong, but there is alot of concerning rust issues with frame and alot of cracks and repairs needed to body shell along with other odds and ends electrically and mechanically(like a primary drive unit). This 1970 one sat outside for a decade or two.

Well I ran into a 1980 Harley gas 3 wheel Golf Cart that is just about perfect cosmetically with a paint job done few years back and has everything part wise as just needs new tires, battery, seats, tlc. They only issue mechanically with this one is motor needs rebuilt. This one sat in a plane hanger for a decade or two.

My question is if there would be any issues taking my 1970 motor that runs into the 1980 new one I just picked up?? I'm thinking maybe spline count issue - 6 to 9???

If you are talking about the '80 needing rebuilt being just the top end (piston / cylinder) that's a pretty easy job and not too much cash. That would probably be easier than swapping motors.

Without knowing the '70 one at all, would the number of splines even be in play? I would think the only thing that would really matter is motor mount positions and clutch alignment.
