Default Harley part # 30607-63 Contact points

Hi All,
Has anyone identified an actual cross reference to the early HD 30607-63 Contact points? I've not been successful in locating an OEM set for my 64D.

Have you tried a Harley motorcycle sales place like J&P cycle parts They might just have them if they are not the same as later point sets like my 1974 or 1976 Harley cart. If they are the same point set as the 1976 it uses a Delco point set and most auto parts houses have them. Check the forum and do a search the numbers have been mentioned many times.

OK, I went back in my notes and the points are the same: Two types; D108 by reversing the electrical screw, or D108P, BWD A109 set or I prefer the A109P since it has push on terminal. They fit a Chevy 250 pickup engine from the 1970's I think!

My parts manual indicates these points were not used in 67 and later model cars. I've not found any other model Harley , motor scooter or otherwise that uses these. That rules out retailers like J&P. Google shows a site 2040 parts that allegedly has a compatible point set, but I think the site is a big scam.

Thanks tew45! That's the first cross reference I've seen to the 30607-63 points! I'll start looking into these part numbers. Any other info you have would be appreciated.

Take your old point set to the auto parts store and they have a llo alike book and can work out something I'm sure!

Most auto parts store clerks have no clue to contact points. Even my local NAPA guys look at me cross eyed anymore! I think the part numbers you supplied may work for 71 up Harley cars, but are not a cross reference to 30607-63. The search continues! By the way, I spoke to one of the fellas at vintagegolfparts tonight, and he had no ideas on a replacement cross reference either.

If you have the 2 section point set there may be a way out. I am not sure but I think an older Sportster point set might work. I haven't tried it but a later point plate with later points may also work

Thanks guys, I'll look into the pre 79 sportster points. Those were part number 32661-70 for 71-78 sporty.
