1976 Harley Davidson Cart intro
Hello, I am new to the group and already did an introduction on the general but wanted to do it on this side as well. I have a harley amf cart that I bought and it runs and drives but want to make it better and "my own" like everything else that I own. I am a big fan of "jonr3" and his orange cart. My three questions are
1. Has anyone lifted these carts? I have found like one ever and cant contact the guy on how he did it and is the lug pattern the same for wheels/ bigger tires. 2. Has anyone put a four stroke in this with reverse. I found one gentleman who did a 18hp honda and a G2 rear end, wondering of other ideas as mine seems to cut out as you are putting along and I want better reliability for city trails. G2 i am having a tough time finding and I dont want to lose reverse. 3. I want to see finished 4 wheel carts with tops! I am wanting to do front and rear bench seats and a roof for the kids. Please dont be negative and tell me to buy one already done in another make. I like the uniqueness of the Harley and I also ride the motorcycle. Thank you so much!! |

Re: 1976 Harley Davidson Cart intro
I can't help much with the other stuff, but lug pattern should be standard 4 lug.
Interesting body. Does it lift up? Are you sure it is a 76? |

Nice cart Barbersboy. I did not realize until tonight that the whole body must be different for an electric and a gas.

I don’t think they made a 4 wheel electric version back then

Iron92 I found a company out of Florida that makes back seats for these carts. My kiddos rode in it all the time.

Re: 1976 Harley Davidson Cart intro
It might be a lot easier just putting the harley's body on a 4 stroke cart frame.
