1982 4 wheel cart governor question
Hi all..
New here and a new owner of a 1982 Harley Golf Cart. The car had problems when i picked it up.. Wouldnt start (or even turn over with the pedal) being the main one. Tracked that down without much of a problem, broken electrical connection, found 3 different broken wires. The last owner replaced, the battery, fuel pump, and the carb (with an after market), still working on getting the carb set right (dont ask me why he had the adjustment turned out 4 turns..lol) My problem now is the governor.. he disconnected it when adding the new carb and i cant seem to find any pics of how its suppose to be connected at the carb (or if it can with an aftermarket). The clutch plate and the cable is still there (zip tied up) along with the bracket for the carb end. Being this is going to be a "town cart" i have to have some kind of speed limiter installed.. (city inspects cars before permits are issued). Anyone have some good pictures of the governor installed? The online manual pics are a bit dark to really see the layout. |
