Won't stay charged
I have I believe a 81 Harley gas golf cart. It will not hold a charge. It has a new battery and starter generator. Rewired following the wiring diagram. A new solenoid piston rings seals. Done about everything I can think of. You charge the battery and it will run for a while then it just dies and you have to charge it again. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Won't stay charged
In most cases, poor charging is either a bad starter / generator or a bad voltage regulator. Being that your S/G is new then your voltage regulator is probably bad.

Re: Won't stay charged
I should add that, depending on your VR type, it may be adjustable via a screw you will see if you take the VR cap off. Jack the back of your cart up, place a volt meter on the battery, and rev the engine up. You should have 14-15v or so at the battery. If not then your VR needs adjusted or replaced.
