Default Harley 245cc Engine Specs

Hi all,

I have been scouring the internet for an answer to this question and have yet to find it. I have a 1970 Harley cart with the 245cc 2-cycle engine and I am looking for a list of specs - namely, horsepower, torque and the size of the output shaft on the engine.

If anyone could help out I would be extremely grateful. Thanks!

Thanks for the input! The current (original) engine is just worn out and I think a complete rebuild isn't going to be an option. I'm looking for a replacement engine for it, which is why I'm looking for HP, Torque and shaft specs. I'd like something with comparable performance, and the shaft size will be critical to bolting it up to the existing drivetrain.

What does anyone thing about bolting a 4-cycle into the HD? Just eyeballing the angle at which the 2-cycle sits makes me wonder if a 4-cycle will work.

Obviously, originality and authenticity aren't high priorities.

Marco ,if you looking for speed and torque look at the snowmobile engines I just found a 440cc pretty cheap with the clutch for $100. I'm dropping one in my Harley cart looks like not to much of a mod maybe some custom engine mounts.I plan on parting out the Harley motor on ebay to make back some of money invested since I won't need it anymore .Check youtube you will see what these things can do we plan on doing a lift and using for mainly off road .
