should only be two wires at the switch.white is your supply. red goes to the micro. just connect the two together or use a toggle switch.

Re: 1975 Harley gas Broken key switch anyway to bypass
Looking at the switch we have more then two wires going to the switch that is it also has the Foward and Reverse on this switch for a total of 7 wires which 4 are from the starter generator .1 is from the micro switch and not sure were the other one is from but it is basically just looped to two points on the switch. The top of the of the 3 position key switch is missing so we are not sure how to get power to the cart and don't want to burn something out since we are fairly new to carts.I looked up the part number off of vintage carts and came up with LVN7176275A just can't see investing over a hundred bucks on a switch if we can't get the cart running. Thanks for any help.

Re: 1975 Harley gas Broken key switch anyway to bypass
If your cart is a 1975 it won't have the forward/reverse in the key switch. it will be on the floor. The forward/reverse switches weren't used till the early
80's the switches on these carts have been giving alot of people headaches for awhile now. |

Re: 1975 Harley gas Broken key switch anyway to bypass
Thanks still having some issue we can get the solenoid to click but still can't get the starter generator to turn over we tried the method of tieing a1 and f1 then f2 and a2 together we were able to get the generator to turn over but not sure how to get this thing to work without using this method. We have been playing all week and really haven't shown any progress I think I understand a little more of how this engine works but still confused why I can't get the electrical system to work .Here is the serial on the cart to help correctly identify it 5K10752J2 it has 4 wheels any help will be appreciated. Thanks .

Re: 1975 Harley gas Broken key switch anyway to bypass
Jeggers ,Thanks this about the best info I have found so far. I think you continuity post have given me enough info to bypass the switch and get the motor to turn over I think once we have accomplished that part I will go your route with the switch looks like a pretty solid and cheap approach. Thanks for all the help I might be hitting you up for some more info when I'm ready to wire the switch up.Thanks again.
