Default Any Input??

Hey guys,
I posted the following on the EZGO side a few days ago with no responces. I am wondering what my next project should be & was thinking of a 4 wheeler next time around because I thought the ride may be better but now I am having 2nd thoughts. Don't worry my Harley is NOT going anywhere, I will have it forever

"I currently have a Harley 3 wheeler that I have restored and I am ready for another project. A buddy of mine rented a 97 EZGO this past weekend & I took it for a ride. The cart seemed to ride even firmer & rougher then my old 3 wheeler . It was 100% stock, 8" sawtooth tires. What if anything can be done to soften the ride on these things? I am thinking bigger tires with a little lower air pressure and it may have needed new shocks. Just wanted to get some input for you guys that run these thing on a regular bases.
THANKS"

IDK; I have "most of" 3, H-D 3 wheelers; eventually 2 will run..... #3 is a parts cart.
I am on 3 cart forums and I have heard (mostly on ***********) that alot of campgrounds arent letting people run 3 wheeled carts in their camnpsites...
For now I am "running what I brung" unless/until someone tells me otherwise.
If I could find a 4 wheeler (not interested in electrics) for a reasonable price "then" I may go down that road. but not until.

Mike, NICE CART So how does it ride????

Don, I own the lot in the camp ground that we camp at & have my camper set up perminate under roof, my cart has to be inspected each year to make sure it is in safe operating condition. There are a few 3 wheeler running around other then me but not many. Sounds like we are in the same boat, if a good deal on a 4 wheeler comes along we may jump on it.but in no hurry.

inspected BY WHO? someone that knows nothing about golf carts?
that said; the 78 I bought for parts, (I say that because it has no engine but a good body) had 2 stickers on it from the early 90s from a Yogi Bear Jellystone campground. It didnt say anything about being "safety" related but like they must have an "in park permit" sort of thing.

I just got my '81 tiller-steer cart running for the 1st time since I brought it home--- I mean "just," as in like an hour ago...... It will get its maiden workout at the I&I Tractor show this Sunday in Penfield IL; I like going to Threshermen and antique tractor type shows, as well as car shows; and the larger of those type events "kill" my bum right leg; so it will certainly come in handy.....

I say bum right leg, on account of a shattered kneecap back in 1990, and a chain saw kickback that nearly cost me my foot just above the ankle in '07; right in my own front yard, and which resulted in my going on Disability; I just got my 1st job, post-chain-saw accident about 2 months ago; (minimum wage sucks, but thats a story for another post) I am definitely outta shape;
I spent all day yesterday running a weedeater in knee to waist high overgrowth; and my rt leg is "talking" to me..... so I know I'd be dying after all that walking come Sunday.....
I'm back in College full time in an Ag business program, and this job is maintenance at a State Park; most days I am on a big tractor for 8 hours;
love the job but not the pay......

Sorry for the off topic jaunt.

but my '73 (1st cart I got, and the reason I got the ones since) is an abandoned project that had a bunch of $$ put into it before I got it (I got that one free, actually the guy I got it from called me and begged me to come get it outta his way, I have known for 10+ years) and it was also bought (by the PO) for the same reason; he likes these same kind of events I do, but is definitely in much worse shape physically than me; but got tired of waiting for his son to finish it up for him and he had to push it out of the garage to get to the generator during a power outage "once too many"
He couldnt figure out why "reverse" wasn't working; I found it to be a bad starter/generator, 2 of the 4 field coild were fried. but he'd spent alot on "everything else" that had to do with which direction the cart ran.

and as far as camping goes, the only bad part is not being able to go do it enough; I have always been a "rough it" tenting type camper; though I do tend to look for campgrounds with a showerhouse (LOL); I used to have a boat, and short of taking 2 vehicles, if I'm gonna pull something to the campsite, I'd rather it be the boat; but now I got the golf cart instead; and I already had teh trailer for pulling my mowers to my Mom's house to do her yard, so no "added" expense there.....
