Engine Flooding?
I was using my 1973 3-wheeler at the fair last week and the old girl ran great until Saturday night. It would run for about 50 yards then stall. Wait a few minutes and the same thing will happen. At first I thought that it was not getting fuel. A closer look says to much fuel. The plug is wet, carb is leaking on the ground, and even a little seems to be comming out around the crank seal? This cart has parts from varoius years. It is equipped with the type of carb which has no bowl. Last night I experimented a little. I pulled the pick up out of the fuel tank and tried to start the engine. It would try to start but only run slowly with lots of thick smoke. When the engine had sucked all of the gas out of the line the engine would lean out then take off like it should. This problem came on all of the sudden. Any ideas
