Default 69 harley

well guys shes at it again! i got the lovely lady all put together timing close enough to get it going, new points, cleaned and boiled the fuel tank out, and i still cant get the darn thing to start! it will run on either, but no vroom! i talked to some great harley techs on here, and they advised to sheck the compression, which i put of how long, well when i put my checker on it, it came to 40 psi and stopped. would hold 40 psi for 3 day and not lose pressure, so i assumed it was all good. but then the same tech told me to pull the head and jug and check the rings! well we found our issue! the top ring is half missing! yeah low compression, but still has the 2 other the hold the presure. so looks like time to sink another 50 bucks into it! lets hope the jug is ok and dosent have to be replaced cause i cant buy rings till i know its good. and what size is it.
if i can i will put video of the compression checker thing on here.
thanks to mr graig out of wis for the carb! by the way it was drawing fule through the carb, but wasnt compresing it to run.
thanks to mr tony for the constant hammering of timing and compression, sometimes its the easy silly things that will get you!
so i will see if i can get video of the bbqing of the muffler! and the compresion check and all. i know we all like photos and videos!

ok attached is some photos of why i had 40 psi of compression, and it will hold it! also is a key sighn i should have pulled the jug instead of assumed all was good when i looked earlier, notice the smash marks on top of the piston, and the inside of the head looks the same, i assumed it was a old set of ring damage....but nooooo! time to order rings and a piston!
