floor shifter
I have a 1981 ezgo Harley Davidson golf cart. I would like to put a floor shifter on the cart. I can't seem to find any information telling me if it would work on my year cart.
If I can install a shifter would it difficult to install? What are the cables that they are talking about when installing the shifter? Thanks |

Re: floor shifter
sounds complicated for that cart.. doesn't the engine reverse direction for forward and reverse ? It may not work.

Re: floor shifter
yes there is no transmission in the harleys! for reverse engine runes backwards, foward it runs forward. shifter should be on the floor.
wait there were harleys were the direstion is in the key! insert foot into mouth! i havent touched one of these, but i would think it would be easy. see if you can get a wire digraghm and it should be hard to get a fwd/rev switch, and mount it on the floor, and rmake up new cables and run them to the starter. i think it would be expensive too |
