Only go`s one way

I put in a new ignition switch and the motor only go`s one way
and there is no spark at the plug. Will someone help me.

When you put it in reverse does the starter turn the engine in reverse?

No it only spin`s forward. and there is no spark at the plug.

trouble getting around inside this site, please have a sense of humor.

Should be a simple fix. Did it run before the new switch? I bet you have a loose wire some where. Can you give us some more clues?

I had that issue check solenoid. I switched them and motor turned the other way.

What year is your cart? Sounds like the forward/reverse switch is not wired properly or is defective.

1985 G1. Its fixed. It would start in reverse just not forward. So I switched wires at solenoids and it would go forward not reverse. I had an extra solenoid so I switched wires back to normal and replaced solenoid .....fixed.

I also had 2 ignition switches. Not the issue this time.
