Underbody insulation or sound shield??
'69 D Harley D cart. Original before restoration had fiberglass under cowling. Was this for insulation to protect against heat or used as a sound shield? Would like to dress up the look under the cowling but do not want to chance expensive paint damage if original was for insualting from motor heat. Would also like a picture of a cart where someone has replaced with sound shield type covering. Have looked at all pics on this site and can not find picture. I ran across a pic a while back with silver sound shield but did not save.
Any help appreciated! Thanks, Dan. |

Re: Underbody insulation or sound shield??
I think most came with a fiberglass insulation with an aluminum outer coating.
