1978 HD 3-Wheel Golf Cart - For Sale

Hello everyone, this is my first post at this forum so let me know if I need to move it to a different thread topic.

I have a 1978 3-wheel HD golf cart that was given to me by a friend who didn't have time to get it put back together. I am now ready to move up to a 4 seat cart and am looking to sell this one first. I am not sure of value or what I should ask for this cart so am looking for feedback from anyone who has an opinion on what this cart should bring. I have one guy I am waiting on this week who says he "wants it" but by the end of the week I will post this for sale if he can't pay.

1978 Harley Davidson Golf Cart.
Serial Number: 3B 18359 H8
Location: Cicero, IN (approx. 30 miles north of Indianapolis)
Runs great. Drives true. Forward/reverse both work great. Extra key.
Added fuel pump and regulator.
See pics for condition as they were just taken 2 days ago. Some body dings, etc. New seats.
NOTE: Only issue with this cart is after running it there is a small fuel drip from the carb. It drips for about 30 seconds and then quits. The new owner will want to get this tightened up/new gasket soon.








Question: What do you think this golf cart should sell for (US Dollars)?

In that condition you should have no problem getting 5 or 6 hundred out of it. I have seen people asking for more, but they seem to sit on craigslist for a long time. I bought mine for 3 hundred with a decent body (yours is a little better) and running but needing rebuilt (broken ring). If yours is in as good a shape as it looks 5 or 6 hundred should be no problem, who knows the right buyer maybe more? Good luck, wish I had the money.

Thanks for the response. I was hoping that was the range as that was what I told the person... $600 was the asking price. I am glad I didn't overshoot too high. Thanks again. Ron

600 all day long!! These carts are a sold investment and will only go up in value. Well that's what I keep telling my wife.

OK, just got a call from the guy who was "interested" and he can't come up with the cash... so, I am going to post this cart for sale "for real"!

The guy who I got the cart from referred me to the BuggiesGoneWild.com website and it has helped me a bunch. I would prefer that this cart go to someone who appreciates the HD golf carts so before I post this on CraigsList or anywhere like that... if anyone from this site is interested in buying it please let me know by sending me a message and I will email/call you and we can talk.

Based on the values estimates I have gotten from here (500-600) I will sell it to anyone on this forum for $500. Please review the information I provided at the start of this thread to make sure it is right for you and let me know if you need any other pics and I can send them to you.

I am located north of Indianapolis, IN (about 30 miles depending on where you mark Indy) on the west side of Cicero, IN.

If no one wants the cart here I will post on CraigsList and a few other places starting Wednesday, 5/9/12... hopefully this will give someone on this forum enough time to see if they want it.
