Belt Issue: Help Needed
I have been doing the basics on the 78 AMF before tearing it all apart to make it pretty and have arrived at an issue with the drive belt.
Took the old one off and took it to the parts store (O'Reillys). The old drive belt was about 30.5" and was a 9/16" belt. According to THIS LINK the belt I need for a 67-81 Two Stroke cart is 1-3/16" x 37" O.D. so my existing belt is significantly smaller? The drive belt will grab once RPMs are up but flops in place and slips severly underload. What should I check and what do I need? Thanks!-Jake |

Re: Belt Issue: Help Needed
Order the correct belt from Vintage. Good prices and will not kill you on shipping. Once you install the new belt you should be good. If not we can dig deeper.
