Default Brake Pad rivet question

I recently picked up some new brake pads for my 73' D4 and have the brakes apart, however I am having trouble finding a shop that can rivet the new pads in. I tried a couple automotive shops and a couple motorcycle shops with no luck. Has anyone else ran into this issue? Any ideas of where to go?

Look for a shop that restores old cars.

This might be a stupid question, but how do you "pop rivet"

With a pop rivet gun. I can't remember what size rivets I used. Match rivet size on holes in pad holders.

Here is an example of a pop rivet gun.

I bought new brake pads for my 76 D4 as well, comes with what look to be brass rivets. I haven't tried it yet, but can't you just use a hammer and press/tap them on?

I don't know what the rivets you have look like. I made my pads from brake pad material I got from McMaster Carr. But if the pads came with rivets may try to us them. If you ruin any tou cam use a pop rivet.
