Default 81 Harley Piston

We're redoing the top end on an 81 3-wheeler....here's the piston we pulled out.

It has EX(I'm assuming this means exhaust) 020 and C stamped on it....and only 2 rings. I thought it was supposed to have 3 rings.

I need to order a new piston and rings but I'm not sure if it's 20 over or something else. Anyone know? The can seems to be fine.

I would guess someone has bored it out. Does your cylinder have a stamp on it? I just changed the one in our '76 and it didn't have that on it. Best way would be to measure it.

I'm pretty sure it's been bored. I just don't know how much. Do you know what the bore is supposed to be? No stamp on the cylinder that I could find.

From my experience, the 020 on the piston means it has been bored .020 oversize.

That's what I thought too but this one only has 2 rings. Every other Harley piston that I've seen has 3.
