For sure I know it'll fit.....um.....an 85 model Sunchaser.

No really, that's pretty much it. That cart is based on the G1 platform, so it'll fit the G1's as well. Since it's a 2 stroke, the transaxle doesn't have a reverse gear, so if it's used in anything else that cart won't have reverse.

Does it look like one of these G3 or G5 "SunClassic"? I have no idea what a "sun chaser" is (pretty sure it is not a yamaha) & i have worked at a yamaha dealer for over 8 years.

Busted, I knew it was sun-something. Sun classic sounds better. I was trying to see if this would go in a friends broken Yamaha( which I'm still trying to see which G it is)

If it has a glass windshield, and a vent visor on top, its a G5. If the forward and reverse is controlled by the keyswitch, its a G3. The G3 was a 2-cycle engine, which ran backward to go backwards. So a G3 axle has no reverse gear.

I know what a "SunClassic" is, just not a SunChaser.

I think a "Sunchaser" are all those retirees that move to Florida or Arizona to escape the cloudy weather of Ohio.
