Re: bypass
Welcome to BGW!
Yes. What does the cart do? Does it turn over and just not fire, or does it not turn over? Now you got me singing that song in my head! |

Re: bypass
You said that you found a blown fuse. Did you check both of the fuses?
OK. Try doing this to bypass the pedal switch after checking both fuses. Under the gas pedal, you will find the STOP switch. It has 4 wires. RED, RED/WHITE, BLACK, BLACK/WHITE. The BLACK, BLACK/WHITE is what kills the ignition. The RED, RED/WHITE is what energizes one of the solenoids depending on the position of the key switch. 1. Remove the drive belt so there is no way the cart can move. BE SAFE. 2. Did I mention remove the drive belt so there is no way the cart can move? 3. Unplug the RED, RED/WHITE wires from the STOP switch. There is a quick disconnect about 6" from the switch. 4. Turn the key switch to the forward position. 5. Jumper the RED, RED/WHITE wires together where they come from the wiring harness, leave the RED, RED/WHITE wires that go into the STOP switch disconnected. When you jumper the two wires together, one of the solenoids should pull in, and the starter should turn. The cart won't start because the ignition is still dead unless you press the gas pedal. If the starter doesn't turn, immediately remove the jumper. |
