Default Lifted G-14, what performance mods should I do?

I bought my first cart, at G14 with a 6" lift. But other than that it's stock. Even the wheels and tires. I was looking at plowman exhaust, governor speed spring, and Yamaha power package from carts plus. Also planning 24" all trail tires and some kind of K&N filter. Wondering if I'm missing anything? Is there somewhere I can get a jet for the carb? I'm in a campground so it can't be too loud. There is one big hill from the lake that other carts get up, but barely.

If you want to keep stock components, then you want to head in this direction.

If you're going to Plowmans for the exhaust, get the whole package from Don. You won't be disappointed. Make sure the primary clutch is in good condition. Talk to Don. He'll set you up.

I think 24" tires are going to be too much for the 6" lift.

I was considering that kit. So plowman stuff is pretty good? The kid I bought the cart from installed the lift. According to him it was a Rhox 8" not 6" and the directions said 24" tire max.

Yep,22" is about the limit, especially in the rear. You might squeak a 23",but it will be close in the rear.Keep in mind too, with the larger tires, more power and gearing is lost, even with clutches, pipe, etc, its still a low-hp motor.Stick with the 22" would be my suggestion, even with the Plowman kit, unless Don has some stuff to really wake them up.Ask him what to do,he is the Go-To Guy for Yamahas!

I have a 96 G14 with a 4" lift and 22 " tires. Motor is stock and will be rebuilt now that hunting season is over. I installed Plowman's performance kit which was a new driven clutch with his yellow spring, larger carb jets, his new belt, and his new muffler. He will tell you what you need as to the use of the cart. I needed something to pull hills in the woods and this kit does it even with my smoking motor . Motor runs great just smokes when cold as oil rings are gone.

Call Plowman and tell him how you will be using the cart . He will fix you up.

So you clear 22" with 4" lift, why couldn't I clear 24" with 6" lift? I'm going to do the Plowman performance kit, speed spring, and K&N filter... To start.

I think the G14 and 16 air filters and carbs are different.
