will a 1997 g11 rear end fit in a 1991 g9
i was wondering if a g11 will bolt up to a g9 rear end as a direct swap and if it does is there any advantages or dis advantages will it make cart faster or slower or the same ? i noticed the g11 rear end has a tag on it that says spicer (dana) wouldnt this be a better rear end

get the tape measure out and take a look see. most of the golf carts are 14:1
I dont know a lot about the G11 so cant answer your other questions |

I think it would work with a little modding. The shock and front mount hookups are different. Not sure about the bolt pattern to the frame. I really don't know that you will gain much speed either.

only thing that looks different is the pumkin everything else looks the same where the cables hook up the governer and the bolts and shocks look identical but i was wondering if any ones tried this before i think the dana rear end would be tougher

stock one is pretty tough - at least until you add 50 more HP.

the other thing is that the g11 rear end is set up like a truck or car with a diff cover and the other one dosent have that ive been thinking about welding the spiders up for posi unless theres a different way it will be mostly driven off road and on a little

The only problems I've heard of with doing this is it will cause a little aggrevation when turning on road. I would say you might run a risk of breaking something in the rear chunk as well. On a positive note, it should definitely help when off roading. Nothing more aggrevating than getting stuck caddycorner in a ditch or something with only one wheel pulling. Rocking back and forth gets old.

ok so i talked to tom at cpp and found out apparently i have a newer style g-16 rear end and he said it will bolt right up so i think im gonna try it shouldnt take long and mabe this will fix my problem
