Re: g2
Kenneth, I had to go down into Arkansas to find one.
Ricky, they are a great cart. I've heard the rear ends are nearly indestructible. There is at least one person on here put a 50hp engine in one and hasn't had a problem with the cart. They are a great cart to install a big block in as well. I'm looking forward to eventually getting mine built once I finish my G1 and get it back moving. If you have one or can buy one right, go for it. There's one in the For Sale thread right now. |

I have had a G2 for a 10 months now and it has been a great cart, seems to have decent power. I got it from the original owner and he said it never had to have any major work done to it. I had to replace the secondary clutch not long after I got it. It died on me yesterday, I believe it blew a head gasket. I would say not bad considering it's 27 years old.

Re: g2
G2 = Awesome cart! If good price, Buy it! There is much more modern suspension designs out there, but they are tough carts. I bought a G9 (almost identical cart) with seized motor, broke it free, put a drain plug in it (was absent), added oil, and drove it for over a year (and over 1k miles) without doing anything major, thats tough.

Re: g2
Not a terrible price around here but not great either when not running as you don't know what the issues are. Press for a deal if you go for it. Great cart far as anything comparable, yami are better IMO. G2/9 are nearly identical, and are getting old the G2 mostly late 80s and G9 first half of 90s.
