Default 97 Yamaha G-16A Wont Turn Over

Hello All,

Just picked up a nice 97 yamaha g-16A that I have drained and cleaned the fuel tank , new filter and lines.. Went to try and start her up and not a peep.. Checked out the solenoid, I am thinking it is shot...

When I push the gas pedal to start the cart and go, I got power on all but one of the big terminals, The one with the wire going to the starter/generator is not getting power.. I am thinking its time for new solenoid, Is this correct?

Thanks,

Ant...

UPDATE:

Ok I found the problem with the solenoid (Bad Ground), Now I got power on all four post when I hit the pedal, But still will not turn over... I am looking at the wiring now, Seems like I am missing a wire on the starter.. According to the diagram It shows 2 wires going to A-1 on the starter, I only have one there.. The one I have is coming off the battery going to A-1.. What Am I missing here/

Thanx all,

Ant....

I built that car 3 yrs ago, I don't have it now. Sorry

Large lugs- one side goes to battery + terminal. Other lug goes to F2 on side of starter.

Small lugs- one goes to hot side of pedal switch, ( might be red/white wire). The other side I think goes to ground, as mine goes into red conector.

My car is a G8 tho.
