Winch on a G1
Bought one of those $60 winches from HF last week to hopefully install on the cart.
i don't plan on using it hard, just the occasional tug. Do you need an aux. battery? Or to wire the stop switch differently? It would be nice not to have to go get the kids out of the ditch, But then again, now they'll be in there all the time. |

Re: Winch on a G1
Wire the winch directly to the battery as per the instructions in the box. Shouldn't be any problems there as long as your battery is in good shape and the winch isn't being used for long periods of time. If the winch drains the battery, your only problem is recharging it as the G1's charging system isn't all that strong to charge a dead battery.

Re: Winch on a G1
Thanks, that's what I was hoping for.
Sorry to here about the Dmax, actually I'm not, I'll have $10k into mine by the summer. Thinking I should have unloaded it. |
