Exclamation Yamaha gas g2 kind of surging

I have a 1985 yamaha g2 golf cart and it will big down and barley stay running for a few minutes and then would go back to normal. It will run better with the choke pulled out when it's bogged down

Sounds like clogged filter or pump issue. Filter is in tank, and can be inspected through filler neck with flashlight.

pull and clean the float bowl

likely has dirt or water or old bad gas varnish partly blocking the main jet

If it is old gas dump it as well and start fresh after you clean the carb...
Good Luck

Might be air box not sealed right. Try running it with the air box hose (at carb) disconnected and see how it runs.

Yes, just disconnect the hose (from the carb to airbox) and try running it.

Ok so I tried to start it w/o the air cleaner box and it ran just like how it does when it's bogged down
