1985 G1 how to tell if
everything ran great till today no I press and gas and nothing?
fusses good wires all intact How do I tell if my foot pedal switch is bad? |

Do you have a wiring diagram, and a multi meter.
I do not have your diagram in front of me, but this is how you test a switch. Black end of multimeter on negative terminal of battery. Switches will always have power going in, and "switch on" power going out. Find the power in leg on the diagram, and touch the red probe on that connection. You should have 12v. Now with the pedal not being pushed, check the other side of switch. It should not have any voltage. With rear wheel in air (or nuetral if you have it) press pedal and check again, you should have 12v. If you do not, AND you have 12v going into switch, then the switch is bad. |
