Default 84 yamaha info and opinions

Hi newbie here, quick question

i have a guy offering me a 1984 yamaha golf cart (G1 from a lil research i did) 4" lift 20" tires, brand new rebuilt motor (not even in the cart yet), he said one of the lift pieces was broken, but i work in a machine shop so i am assuming i will be able to make a new one no problem. He said he thought it was just like 4 pieces of flat stock with some holes.

but for the price i think my old man is gonna buy it for me for christmas. please give me your opinion on this/ any info on 84 yamahas

and how fast would this thing be? able to go into the sand dunes?

thanks in advance

I know it's a 2 stroke engine, oil/gas mix. Well made cart, setup right guys are getting high 20's - 30 mph no problem.

Will the engine be reinstalled and running? If so, 500 seems good to me.
